Two good answers to the same question

Every tool here is filed by the job it does, not by the technology it uses. Flip the switch in the header and the same job gets answered the other way: the AI tool, or the one a person made without it. Both answers are real, and neither is treated as the default.

Who writes this

Astax Discovery Network is written and maintained by Astax Labs in the United Kingdom. It is one person’s work, not a newsroom, and there is no team page because a fake one would be the first dishonest thing on the site. How an entry gets here

Candidates arrive from published feeds and from readers. Software reads each one, checks the link resolves, checks it is a product rather than an announcement, and checks it is not already listed. Everything that survives is then read by a person before it is published, because automated checks can tell a broken link from a working one but cannot tell a company from a parked domain, or a waiting list from a product. Both have been caught at exactly that step.

What “verified” means

A verified entry means the price, the limits and the free tier were read on the vendor’s own site on a stated date, and the source is linked from the entry. 227 of 483 published entries across 16 categories are verified today. The rest carry a label on the card saying either that nobody has checked them yet, or that a previous check has gone out of date. Both are honest states for a record, and both are better than a confident guess. We do not publish a number we have not seen.

What changed, and when

Prices rise, free tiers get withdrawn and policies get rewritten, usually without an announcement. When we detect a change we record the old value, the new value, the date and the source, and publish it on the change log. That history cannot be reconstructed after the fact, which is why it is kept from the beginning rather than started when it becomes useful.

Money

A minority of entries pay a commission if you subscribe after following the link. Most pay nothing, and every open source tool listed here never will. Paid placement buys a labelled slot and never moves an organic ranking. The full explanation is on the disclosure page, and it is worth reading before you trust a chart on this site.

When we get it wrong

We will. Tell us at hello@plxyro.com and the entry gets corrected, dated, and logged on the change log rather than quietly edited. If you run a tool listed here and something about it is wrong, that is the fastest way to fix it.
